The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has approved the draft statutes of the Municipal Council of Social Services of the City of Murcia.
The Council is an organ of representative participation of the different institutions, entities and associations of the municipality that have a direct relationship with the scope of action of the social services.
It also has the representation of all political groups that make up the municipal corporation.
Among the most important functions of the Council are to encourage the participation of different sectors of the population in all those activities aimed at their social, cultural, personal and labor promotion, through sectoral participation and representation bodies and to promote their coordination and cooperation.
In addition, the preparation of studies, research and reports will be promoted in collaboration with universities, professional associations, associations and other public or private entities, for the knowledge and dissemination of relevant aspects of the different areas of action of the municipal social services and will be fostered the work of reporting, monitoring and technical support in situations of discrimination based on sex, belief, race, age, disability ...
