Within the framework of the project 'Miradas al Procomún from the neighborhood of Espinardo', carried out by the cultural center and the Municipal Board of Espinardo, it has been organized for tomorrow, Friday, January 25, from 8:00 pm in the auditorium of the cultural center, will take place the conference of Juan José Tamayo 'Human rights, social inequalities and gender violence in a global world'.

In addition, he will present two of his books: 'Religion, Gender and Violence' and 'Has utopia died? Do dystopias triumph?'.

Admission is free until full capacity is reached.

With the project '' Miradas al Procomún from the Barrio de Espinardo 'a series of activities is proposed that involve a reflection to the commons from the local, from the neighborhood of Espinardo, taking into account that the awareness and action in the near affects globally to the planet;

and what happens at the planetary level or at other points of the same will affect us in the everyday, in the near.

The objective is to know different perspectives, good practices on particular, local and global initiatives that change certain harmful dynamics.

Juan José Tamayo holds a PhD in Theology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (1976) and a PhD in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1990).

He is director of the Chair of Theology and Science of Religion Ignacio Ellacuría of the Carlos III University of Madrid and professor emeritus in the Department of Social Analysis of the same University since September 1, 2017.

He is co-founder, member of the Scientific Committee and researcher of the University Institute of Gender Studies of the Carlos III University of Madrid, researcher of the Julio Caro Baroja Historiography Institute of the same University and the Demospaz Institute of the Autonomous University of Madrid.
