A documentary of the UMU recreates how the border of the kingdoms of Valencia and Murcia was formed 775 years ago (23/01/2019)

"The border that unites, the origin of the land of the Manuel", is the new documentary production of the University of Murcia, made through ATICA, tv.um.es and TICARUM SLU MP, in collaboration with the congress of History of the 775th anniversary of the border of the kingdoms of Valencia and Murcia.

The film will be released next Thursday, January 24 at the Regional Film Archive at 7:00 p.m.

The documentary, 45 minutes long, recreates different passages of the thirteenth century on how the border of both kingdoms was formed, collecting the journey of the infante Alfonso (future Alfonso X the Wise, the monarch who presides the shield of the University of Murcia) for the Crown of Castile to resolve a series of personal and border conflicts with King Jaime I of Aragon.

The film is the result of ten months of production, and imbricates the opinions of six historians, with the computer recreation of the described landscapes and the use of other elements, using a pioneering aesthetic format among European universities, to show, from the historical rigor, a part of our barely known past.

The project has counted on the direction of Alfonso Burgos and with Miguel Ángel García Lax as production director.
