Tornel has referred in particular to the ruling issued by the Court of Contentious-Administrative Number 2 of Murcia that recognizes the situation of discrimination arising from his interim status with respect to his fellow career officials.
The worker, like other interim employees, was hired by programs, from October to June.
The mayor explained that in the same situation is a good part of the staff assigned to services dependent on the City of Murcia as the Social Services and Employment, where "only a few" are officials compared to the rest, among whom are people who They have been working in this service for more than 20 years.
The last job offer of the Consistory "does not include the provision of posts of career officials for the Employment service, so that the instability among the workers remains," said Tornel, after regretting that the government team, far from contemplating the situation of precarious work, "does not show sensitivity to the personal injury to the staff and users".
"Nor does it seem willing to correct this problem that conditions an essential service, which serves many young people separated from the education system and unemployed people who need urgent training processes for their reincorporation into the labor market," he added.
