The University of Murcia (UMU) is a leader in transparency and ranks as the third Spanish public administration with the best index in the report prepared by Dyntra, the first collaborative platform in the world that works in the measurement and management of open government in organizations .

Together with the universities of Burgos and Valladolid, the UMU appears as the most transparent public administration in a classification in which Dyntra has analyzed seven hundred Spanish institutions and public administrations.

The University of Murcia has achieved this recognition thanks to 89.39% of the parameters measured in the report.

Thus, the UMU leads both the classification devoted to Spanish universities and that of public administrations in general.

The aspects in which the University of Murcia stands out with scores above 90% are institutional transparency and publicity in the processes of contracting services.

In total, the UMU meets 118 of the 132 indicators analyzed.

The average of fulfillment of objectives of the Spanish universities is of 48,82%.

These data have been presented this Friday at an event held at the University of Burgos and in which Dyntra has given recognition to the three leading universities in transparency.

The rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, attended the event accompanied by Longinos Marín, delegate of the rector for Social Responsibility and Transparency, and Clara Martínez Álvarez de Toledo, technician of the Transparency Office of the University of Murcia.

The rector said that at the UMU "we have made significant progress in the information we offer in our transparency portal, as well as in the replies to requests for information from the different users, as a result of this recognition by Dyntra. As the third most transparent public administration in Spain, we are aware that we are at the beginning of a real change in the cycle in terms of accountability, citizen participation and transparency. how to deal decisively with offering data in open mode, facilitating the comparability between data from different universities, or the usefulness of information to gain efficiency and added value ".
