The Municipal Socialist Group has criticized the municipal government team, which has had "the audacity to hold today the Governing Board in Corvera, days before the inauguration of the airport, completed seven years ago, to promise a fairground, when it has breached all the actions included in the Rural Development Plan, whose objective was to compensate the neighbors of the area of the Campo de Murcia ", explained the socialist spokeswoman, Susana Hernandez.
"The mayor, José Ballesta, should stop taking rabbits out of the hat to get down to work and work to meet what has been committed for a decade, because it continues to create false expectations among the residents of the Campo de Murcia, I doubt very much that they continue believing in the words of the PP, "Hernández pointed out.
He also recalled that the works of the airport, located in the municipality of Murcia, specifically in the hamlet of Valladolises, ended at the beginning of 2012 and, "although the PP was ruling in the City Council, the Autonomous Community and the Government of the nation, they were not able to put it in motion, but neither the airport nor the measures designed in the Rural Development Plan, and that which served as the flagship project for several electoral campaigns, especially in this area of the municipality. "
This Plan established as the first strategic line the employment of more than 1,400 workers, giving priority to the neighbors of the Campo de Murcia, the consolidation and promotion of agricultural activity in the area, including seeking the identification of 'fresh produce from the Countryside de Murcia 'to prestige and disseminate local productions, and access to the information society to the productive sectors and the general population, promoting the introduction of agricultural technological improvements, especially those related to irrigation efficiency.
For all this, the socialist spokesperson, who has warned that "the easy thing is to promise, but the brave and responsible is to comply", has asked the government team not to commit to new measures, we just have to assume the commitment for so many years. "
