Serrano presents to the Croem initiatives to push the responsible local economy with an industry linked to knowledge, new technologies and sustainability (09/01/2019)

The socialist candidate has explained that "our goal is that all proposals, be they in the field, have a unique destiny and that Murcia becomes the land of progress and vanguard, which it deserves for years and that should not wait more"

The socialist candidate for the Mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, has met today with the president of the Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Murcia (CROEM), José María Albarracín, who has presented a battery of proposals, which will be part of the PSOE program and that are aimed at increasing the growth of the responsible local economy "with special emphasis on the municipal industry linked to knowledge, new technologies and sustainability".

In this regard, Serrano states that "our goal is that all initiatives, be they in the field, have a unique destiny and that Murcia becomes the land of progress and vanguard, which it deserves for years and that should not wait more".

"Of course without economic development we can not speak of the advancement of a territory, and here the entrepreneurs are indisputable protagonists, for that reason, we have wanted to meet with the organization that represents them, and thus know first hand the main obstacles that are, In addition to informing about our proposals related to the development of industrial estates and provision of services for companies in the municipality, improvement of public transport to facilitate the mobility of workers, the creation of the Municipal Institute for Economic Development and Employment, where social agents participate, and as we have already announced, the Department of Employment for whose operation will have to establish a fluid dialogue with employers, "explains the candidate.

Likewise, he points out that "we are working on the design of a good plan of proposals and measures to boost our industry and our economy" and highlights the implementation of the aforementioned Economic Development Institute that, in addition to acting as a business facilitator , becomes a manager of attraction of investments and establishment of the most sustainable companies in the municipality.

Likewise, we also "see the need for the creation of a Technological District that favors the implementation of technology companies through tax incentives in the outskirts of Murcia that also serve to boost the economy of the area."

In this sense, it emphasizes that it is necessary to work in "areas such as suppliers, financial management, employment, the ecological impact of municipal activity, the generation of new companies, the development of research and technology, among others, which they should help us generate viable projects that promote lasting employment and, finally, the general welfare of our land. "

Already, during the Conference on Economy and Employment, held last October, Serrano spoke of five areas of action: the generation of employment, tourism, the economy at the service of citizenship, progressive and fair taxation and sustainable development .
