From La Alberca to La Fuensanta, running through Astrade (09/01/2019)

All participants will be able to enjoy activities at the Sanctuary of the Fuensanta from 12.30 pm, with free paella, children's workshops and dance performances, magic and live music.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, the general director of 7RM, Antonio Peñarrubia, and the General Director Astrade, José Manuel Santos, presented this morning the 2nd edition of the Solidarity Race organized by 7 Television Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the City Council, and to be held this Sunday, January 13.

"This year, 100% of the collection of this race that takes place in one of the most beautiful natural enclaves of our Region, such as the Regional Park of El Valle and Carrascoy, presided over by the Sanctuary of the Fuensanta, will go to hands of the Association for the Attention of People with Generalized Developmental Disorders (Astrade), "said Mayor José Ballesta, who stressed that" it is estimated that participation exceeds 1,200 runners. "

The race consists of a 6-kilometer route between the South Coast, with the start at La Alberca (Murcia) and the finish line at the Fuensanta Sanctuary.

The participants in the trekking modality will leave at 11.00 and the runners at 12.00.

Paella free after the race

All registered, including solidarity numbers, may also enjoy activities at the Sanctuary from 12.30 pm: paella, children's workshops and dance performances, magic and a concert by Los Happys.

All the collection of the inscriptions will go to the association Astrade, for the construction of two units to provide the necessary tools to people affected by autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), over 16 years, in order to facilitate their independence as adults.

Astrade has been promoting the wellbeing and quality of life of people with autism and their families for more than 22 years, during the different stages of their lives.

In the last edition of the Solidarity Race, 10,000 euros were collected for the construction of the playground of the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca.
