The RFEF will develop social responsibility in Spanish football (08/01/2019)

The Committee, which will promote good practices and the inclusive and inclusive society through sports, brings together RFEF managers, the former national coach, Vicente del Bosque, and experts in CSR, Social Innovation and Human Rights.

Its executive president is José Miguel Monje, president of the Federation of Soccer of the Region of Murcia, and the coordinating secretary Víctor Meseguer, director of the International Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Catholic University of Murcia.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation has created its Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, which will develop initiatives to benefit football fans and society in general.

Its priority challenges are to promote transparency and good corporate governance, promote strategies of equality and non-discrimination, and bet on an inclusive and inclusive society through sports.

The project is promoted by the president of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, who at the act of constitution, held on January 4, stressed that it is about "advancing social responsibility within the world of football, contributing to what is established in the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and support the Spanish agenda of international cooperation through football as the best brand of the Spain Brand ".

The Committee will promote good governance and transparency, social action, environmental sustainability, the defense of human rights, responsible communication and other social aspects such as training and education, the promotion of non-discrimination or diversity and equality.

The committee, which is advisory and advisory, acting from the independence and impartiality, has as CEO José Miguel Monje, president of the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia, and coordinating secretary to Víctor Meseguer, director of the International Chair of CSR of the Catholic University of Murcia.

"CSR represents not only a desire for a good image, but a transparent style of resource management that guarantees the expected sporting results, following the economic principle of mutual benefit, the legal principle of respect for the rights of others (individuals and collectives) and the ethical principle of preservation of perishable natural resources, patrimony of future generations, "said José Miguel Monje, Executive Chairman of the CSR Committee.

Broad social representation

The members of the RFEF are Felipe Sánchez-Pedreño (RSC), Alfredo Olivares (Human Resources), Marisa González (Communication), Rubén Rivera (Marketing), Antonio Gómez-Reino (Institutional) and Jorge Mowinckel (International Relations), as well as as external experts from the university, the company or the Administration.

These include Ángeles Solanes, professor of Philosophy of Law at the University of Valencia and president of the Council for the Elimination of Racial or Ethnic Discrimination;

Silvia Escobar, member of the International Academy of Human Rights of Paris;

Andrés Dulanto, director of Digital Contents of the EFE Agency, and Anna Geli de Ciurana, professor of Experimental Sciences Didactics of the University of Gerona and former president of the Sustainability Commission of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities.

David Lafuente, advisory member of the Secretary of State for Equality;

Carmen Márquez, Professor of International Public Law and International Relations at the University of Seville;

Enrique Martínez, deputy director of the Chair of CSR at the University of Alcalá de Henares, and María Rosa Terradellas, director of the Chair of Social Responsibility at the University of Gerona.

Together with them, Fernando Rubén García, coordinator of the Master of CSR of the International Chair of Social Responsibility of the UCAM and Nita Maciá, expert in international cooperation, communication and management in humanitarian organizations.

Also participating are Ruth Hernández, founding member of the Association of Social Responsibility Directors, and Víctor Meseguer, expert in European Affairs.

The team is completed by Ana Rosell, president of the CD Tacón;

Tatiana Ferreira, of the Football Federation of the Balearic Islands;

Luis Suárez Jaúregui, president of AXA Pensiones, and national football coach Vicente del Bosque, who proposed that the Committee work in favor of inclusive equality and social equity with people with disabilities, as well as with the most vulnerable groups of our society.
