The contract for the smart city project 'MiMurcia' will be resolved in January (19/12/2018)

This national call for the most ambitious urban digital transformation in Spain reaches an amount of 7,380,000 million euros.

José Ballesta holds a bilateral meeting with the Secretary of State for Digital Advancement, Francisco Polo.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, reported today that the contract of the Intelligent City project 'MiMurcia' tendered by the state agency Red.es will be resolved next January 11, after meeting this morning in Madrid with the Secretary of State for the Digital Advance, Francisco Polo.

At the bilateral meeting, the status of this call was analyzed, amounting to € 7,380,000 million and attended by a total of nine tenderers, Temporary Unions composed of leading national and international companies, specialized in technological development and innovation.

"In the coming weeks this public call for the most ambitious digital urban transformation in Spain will be resolved, with the bidding for the 'MiMurcia' project," the mayor said, explaining that "the 436-page document with the project's technical requirements structure in twenty technological components that will improve the quality of life of almost half a million Murcians ".

Twenty components for the technological revolution of Murcia:

Specifically, it is the Smart City Platform, the Tourist Flow Analysis tool, CEUS - Unique Monitoring Center, MiMurcia Platform, Traffic Control System, Citizen Information Panels, Parking Meters, Reduced Mobility Parking and Vehicles, Pedestrian Steps Intelligent, Intelligent Management of Irrigation, Intelligent Management of Public Lighting, Extension of WiFi Coverage, Installation of Chambers in Parks and Gardens, Citizen Card, Efficient Management of Urban Noise, Environmental Monitoring Stations, Proximity Marketing, Mobile Applications, Hardware / Software for CPD and CEUS, Civil Works and Channeling.

"More than 300 indicators and intelligent systems will be distributed throughout Murcia over the coming months and will allow to know what is the status of the parkings and parking meters of the city, the level of pollution in real time of the different areas, the levels Noise or traffic situation to avoid traffic jams;

At the same time services will be offered to improve the daily life of Murcia, as WiFi network in squares, parks and gardens or systems with bluetooth beacons that report directly on the mobile offers of local businesses, "explained the mayor .

Abenarabí will host the CEUS

During the bilateral meeting, the Mayor and the Secretary of State for Digital Progress also addressed the processing of the contract for the project to adapt the Single Monitoring Center (CEUS) on the ground floor of the Abenarabi Avenue municipal building.

CEUS is constituted as a differentiating and innovative element of the Smart Murcia project, it will be the nerve center of the beat of the smart city, control room and management of dashboards, center of attention and demonstration to citizens and crisis room.

José Ballesta also informed the state official about the deployment of the Smart City platform for pilot tests, in collaboration with the University of Murcia, interoperating with several proprietary information systems or concession companies: Urban buses, Murcia tram, Aparcabicis MuyBici, Traffic information, Information on the generation of solar energy in municipal buildings, Information on energy consumption of municipal buildings, Information on availability of parking spaces.
