'Murcia Gastronómica' serves on a platter the best culinary experiences from 9 to 12 November (31/10/2018)

The capital of the Region hosts the seventh edition of this congress that this year extends its space in one thousand square meters with terraces and a tent with gastronomic offer.

The poster of presentations is composed of twenty-eight speakers who will develop demonstrations of kitchen, room, cocktails, 'showcooking' and tastings

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, attended today the presentation of the VII Murcia Gastronomic 2018 congress, which will start on Friday, November 9, in the annex building of the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia and will continue until Monday the 12th. The event was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Miriam Guardiola, the technical director of the congress, Sergio Gallego, the general director of La Verdad, Antonio González, and the newspaper's director, Alberto Aguirre.

In total, four days dedicated to pampering, tasting, approaching and getting to know the work of the great chefs of the Region and of the whole national territory;

the qualities of Murcian gastronomy and the most innovative culinary trends of the Spanish kitchen;

some days that are also an opportunity to share the values ​​of the gastronomy of the earth.

"They say that the history of gastronomy is the history of the world and that unique personality of the Murcians also impregnates the gastronomy of our land, one of the main tourist and cultural attractions of the municipality, which is characterized by a raw material of the highest quality that finds its origin in the Huerta de Murcia, which is the Huerta de Europa, "said José Ballesta in his speech.

This year as a novelty, the congress will have a new space of more than 1,000 m2 integrated in the 0 floor that is added to the great gastronomic offer and that includes: terrace, area of ​​embers and extension of the street of tapas, to be able Experience the culinary, enological and brewing experience first-hand.

28 speakers

Up to twenty-eight speakers will be on the main stage of Murcia Gastronómica, of which nine are invited from outside the Region.

Like Paco Pérez (Miramar, Girona), Albert Raurich (Dos Palillos, Barcelona), Ricardo Sanz (Kabuki, Madrid), Rafa Soler (Audrey's, Calpe), Fran Martínez (Maralba, Almansa), Aitor Arregui (ElKano, Getaria ), Didier Fertilati (Fuego Amigo, Denia), Pablo Sánchez (Los Marinos José, Benalmádena) and Miguel Ángel Mayor (Sucede, Valencia).

Likewise, in addition to the main references of the gastronomy of Murcia, where the two Michelin stars Pablo González-Conejero are located, there are seven chefs, waiters and sommeliers who will be part of the program for the first time.

Some seventy companies will show their products as every year in the 'Market' area, where we will find a large representation of bars and restaurants in the region in the well-known 'Tapas Street'.

As every year, the program of lectures will be accompanied by thirty cooking workshops, tastings and courses for professionals in the sector and the general public who want it.

In the same way, and as usual, children will have a special space for them called Minigourmet which, in addition, in this edition is doubled for the greater comfort of the small chefs.

Special meals in the Makro area with eight 'Cuatro manos' and the traditional meals in the main restaurant area where we will have the special menus of Hispano (Murcia) -La Palera (Cabo de Palos), Cabaña Buenavista (El Palmar), Audrey's (Calpe) and Barahonda (Yecla) -Poli (Águilas).
