Hands United of Murcia, in collaboration with the councils of Social Rights and Development Cooperation and Sports and Health, the Autonomous Community and the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, organized the Manos Unidas Murcia Popular Race, to be held on Sunday November 11th.
The funds raised will be used to help build a boarding school for tribal girls in Gatta, India.
The councilor Conchita Ruiz and the delegate of Manos Unidas in Murcia, Teresa Romero, explained that the tour will take place entirely in an urban circuit, departing from the Plaza de la Cruz Roja.
Any person over 16 years old can participate and runners can choose to run over a distance of 10Km.
or 5Km.
There will also be a race for children from 4 to 8 years old over a distance of 200 mtrs, from children (from 8 to 12 years old) over a distance of 400 mtrs.
and cadets (13-15 years) with a distance of 800 meters.
All registrations can be made through the web www.famu.es.
The numbers will be available to withdraw on Saturday November 10 at El Corte Inglés and on Sunday 11 before the race.
Last year, more than 350 people participated in the race.
Because it is a charity race, cash prizes will not be awarded, but trophies will be awarded, in the male and female absolute categories, to the first, second and third runners who reach the finish line.
The registration for the 10-kilometer test is 10 euros, while the 5-kilometer test is 7 euros and the children's test is 3 euros.
In addition, a 'Dorsal Zero' has been enabled for all those people who do not participate in sports events but want to collaborate financially with the financing of the project.
