Before the announcement of the BORM published on September 25, for the provisional approval of the special plan for landscape and monumental protection of the Malecón by the City of Murcia From VOX MURCIA we denounce the lack of transparency and concordance with the neighborhood associations, in numerous aspects contained in the plan that the memory itself collects but does not contemplate.

Since promises that have been broken in the official writing of the plan have been announced from the beginning.

The City Council has exceeded its functions by wanting to make a protection plan going beyond the rights of the residents of the hamlet of the Arboleja, creating uncertainty and unparalleled legal insecurity.

Finally the City Council has chosen to close the traffic intersection of the Four Stones isolating the Arboleja from its connection to the highway and the city center. Not only will the residents of the Arboleja districts be affected, but also the Albatalía , The Ñora, The Rincón de Berniscornia, which usually use this historic step.

From VOX we propose a policy of more direct collaboration with the residents of the districts working from the beginning with neighborhood associations and not from misinformation and lack of transparency as the corporation has been doing all this time.

From the beginning the petitions of the neighbors have been ignored and even attempts have been made to flee the rights that attempt against the private property, taking even out of order houses older than the writing of the General Plan and not giving any solution to the owners of the zone.

It is unfortunate that this landscape protection plan only covers the monument in a part of it and not in its entire extension from Murcia to the Arboleja.

In addition, the lack of maintenance of the same with numerous graffiti and damage as well as the environment are not any example of landscape and monumental protection and we demand that the City Council begin to set an example of what it tries to apply to the rest.

For that reason from VOX MURCIA, we reiterate the request of nullity of the plan and the re-elaboration of a new plan counting on the opinion and the respect that the neighbors of the zone deserve.
