NOW MURCIA has asked the City of Murcia, the Mayor and the delegated councilors in the matter, to immediately urge the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura to clean the Reguerón channel, as it presents a worrying state of conservation with thousands and thousands of square meters of reeds that could obstruct the channel and hinder its correct operation in case of heavy rains.
In the same sense, the municipal training will request information from the Murcia Consistory and the Segura Hydrographic Confederation on how many cleanups have been made in recent years in the riverbed, as well as if there is any maintenance and conservation protocol Reguerón to prevent It will reach situations like the current ones, where the canes completely cover the channel.
In the afternoon of yesterday and after receiving numerous complaints from neighbors about the worrying state of Reguerón, two mayors of Ahora Murcia, Alicia Morales and Ángeles Micol, went to check the state in which this great channel is located, being able to verify the lack of cleanliness and maintenance of this infrastructure, which is one of the most important in the municipality.
