The Councilor for Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, and the representative of Aguas de Murcia, Iñigo Unanue, delivered this morning the awards of the 4th Literary Contest 'Smart Water Stories', which aims to encourage active participation of young people in the sustainable use of water and the care of the environment through literature.

In this fourth edition, more than 100 students participated.

The event took place in the auditorium of AYS College, one of the centers where some of the winning students study.

The prizes have gone to:

- "The Rap of my city" - Pablo Jiménez Hernández - 1st ESO Colegio AYS

In the Secondary category and given the large number of participants in this category, the unanimous decision jury decided to award four, remaining as follows:

- "Ancora Vita" - Marina López García - 1st ESO - CFI Gabriel Pérez Cárcel

- "Gota a Gota" - Nicolás Martín Miguel - 1st ESO - Murcia Marist School La Fuensanta

- "Immense Mar" - Eva Carmona Caja - 3rd ESO - CFI Gabriel Pérez Cárcel

- "The cycle of my tears" - 4th ESO - IES Poeta Sánchez Bautista

Ebooks, iPads and lots of books are the gifts that the winners have obtained in their different categories, as well as copies of the publications of the compilations of the stories, edited by the company for this edition.

The jury was composed by Alberto Caride, writer and journalist, Marisa López Soria, writer of Children's Literature and Resurrection Garcia, Aguas de Murcia.

Since Aguas de Murcia launched its first edition, more than 250 students from 20 schools in the municipality have participated in this contest.
