Infrastructure carries out works in San Antolín at the request of neighbors and neighborhood associations (17/10/2018)

The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, accompanied by municipal technicians, visited this morning the works that are being carried out in the neighborhood of San Antolín.

In particular, the portable islands have been eliminated from the garbage containers located on San Luis Gonzaga Street, on the corner of Ericas Street.

The parking and reconstruction of the pedestrian ford has also been reduced, adapting it to the accessibility regulations, as well as the elimination of part of the rung of the square.

Pivots have also been installed in the pedestrian extension of the sidewalk to avoid the improper parking of vehicles.

These actions are framed within the project ADN Conecta de San Antolín, in which 170 surveys were collected in which the neighbors have expressed their ideas and opinions, both in the information point installed in Calle del Pilar, as in the mapping and Agora made in this authentic neighborhood where more than 60 people gathered.

One of the concerns and requests most demanded by the neighbors was the realization of this work on Ericas Street, as it had become, according to neighbors and associations, a hot spot of garbage.

For that reason, in addition, the containers have been moved to another point of San Luis Gonzaga street.

"This way we attend once again to the demand of the citizens, acting in an efficient and responsible way, in coordination with the neighbors and associations of the neighborhood so that the city is in perfect condition and adapted to the needs of the Murcians" Rebeca highlighted Pérez
