The conference room of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Murcia (Campus of Espinardo) hosts this Thursday, October 18, at 12.00 the conference The false bonanza, economic recovery and the pending challenges, given by Miguel Sebastián Gascón.
The conference will analyze the evolution of the Spanish economy in recent years and the pending challenges that will face in the coming years.
Miguel Sebastián Gascón holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota (USA), is a tenured professor of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis at the Complutense University of Madrid, was Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce (2008-2011) and director of the Economic Office of the President of the Government (2004-2006).
Between 1996 and 2003 he was director of the BBV and BBVA Studies Service (1996-2003), among other merits.
The activity is framed in the Faculty's Guidance and Guardianship Plan and organized jointly with the Department of Applied Economics of the University.
