'Health in your hands' will be broadcast every Monday at 9:45 pm and will be dedicated to the promotion of healthy living habits, knowledge of diseases and the impact of these on the person from the social point of view.
The next Monday 15th will be dedicated to breast cancer
The Catholic University of Murcia has launched, jointly with Popular TV, the broadcast 'Health in your hands', a weekly program that will address issues related to health: "We will talk about nutrition, physical exercise, of toxic substances and, of course, of diseases, how to prevent them or delay their appearance, "explained its director and presenter, Dr. Juan Madrid, head of Endocrinology and Nutrition section of the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital, professor of the Degree in Medicine of the UCAM.
As for the first program, which will be broadcast next Monday, October 15, will be dedicated to learn more about breast cancer: "We will talk about the importance of early diagnosis, the factors that favor its development, the different treatments there are and the psychological support that many of the patients require. "
In addition, he added that he will have the testimony of a woman who will relate her experience fighting the disease.
The program will also have a section in which the reporters will go out on the street to give voice to the people and, in this way, they will be able to consult doubts about the illness or the subject with which the program is related that week.
Dr. Juan Madrid also wanted to highlight that "patient associations will be given prominence" since they help the patient both in the control of the disease, and at the psychological and social level.
The Faculty of Health Sciences of the UCAM collaborates with this program and, in particular, the Degree in Medicine.
In addition, all content will be hosted on the website 'Salud-1.com', also a participant in the project.
