The Department of Art History of the University of Murcia celebrates on Wednesday the opening day of the academic year 2018/2019.

After the presentation by the director of the department, Joaquín Tomás Cánovas, one of the highlights of the day will come with the conference 'History and restoration of the Stoup collection owned by the UMU', by Francisco López Soldevilla and María de los Ángeles Gutiérrez, from the Restoration Center of the Region of Murcia.
In addition, José Luis Sánchez Noriega, Professor of Film History at the Complutense University of Madrid, will give a master class entitled 'Criteria for the artistic appreciation of cinema or when a film is good'.
There will also be room on this day for young researchers in the history of art with the exhibition of two final degree projects and master's degree of two graduates of the faculty.
