NOW MURCIA denounces "the total lack of maintenance" suffered by a large number of flowerbeds on the sidewalks of Avenida Juan de Borbón, "which show that the concessionaire does not properly carry out its work for some time in that area of ​​the city, nor the Department of Parks and Gardens with its duty of supervision and control ".

The councilor Alicia Morales points out that these parterres "have numerous breakages in the geotextile and in the protection mesh, which together with the enormous lack of land destined for the cover, causes that the aspect is of a total abandonment".

Morales emphasizes that "this deplorable image is not the only problem, but that those elements that were installed in their day to retain irrigation and avoid excessive evaporation are not fulfilling their function, which entails a lower effectiveness in the risks and a greater water consumption ".

The mayor explains that these parterres "are the ones that are on the sidewalks of the Juan de Borbón avenue from the height of the street journalist Encarna Sánchez towards the Plaza de los Cubos, that is, they are in the middle of the city and in a very popular area every day for residents of the entire municipality to walk and run.

To the breakages of the geotextile and the meshes and to the lack of earth joins "the lack of replacement of bushes, plants and trees, and also the frequent accumulation of garbage in many of these parterres".
