The Municipal Socialist Group filed a motion for almost a year demanding the government team to get down to work and demand from the regional administration "a Regional School Transportation Plan that includes as beneficiaries of this service the students of non-compulsory education, especially Bachillerato and Vocational Training ", approved with the abstention of PP and Cs.
Today, "we have seen how the students have had to protest because they have left them lying, one more course, since neither the City of Murcia has fulfilled the proposal accepted in the Plenary nor, of course, the Ministry of Education has moved a finger ", says the socialist spokeswoman, Susana Hernandez, who believes that" this situation is a shame and a button to show the PP's little interest in the public in general and transport in particular. "
In addition, the socialist representatives in the municipal councils of El Raal, Javalí Nuevo, Nonduermas, La Raya, San José de la Vega and Zeneta, among others, have presented initiatives in their respective plenums in recent days to adopt an urgent solution, since the course is started and the parents are taking turns to take them in their private cars.
Hernandez recalls that public transport "is the only means that students, who are minors, have access to their training in their respective institutes" and adds that "this unfortunate situation is the result of the disastrous transportation management that Mayor Ballesta has carried out from his time as adviser until now as the head of the City of Murcia, so that the damage caused will go further.
Finally, the socialist spokeswoman asks "what type of training does the PP expect our young people to receive if they do not give them a public transport option in conditions that will transfer them to their educational centers?"
because it clarifies that "not all the districts have institutes.
