The University of Murcia collaborates with the Retina Murcia Association (RetiMUR) in the organization of the 'Retina Murcia' Congress, which will take place on October 5th and 6th.
The opening ceremony of the congress will take place this Friday, October 5, in the assembly hall of the Morales Meseguer University Hospital, at 11 am.
It will have the presence, among others, of Manuel Villegas, Health Counselor of the CARM;
José Luján, Rector of the UMU;
and David Sánchez, president of the Murcia Retina Association.
This event aims to become a forum for meeting patients, scientists, students and professionals of the retina, low vision and the fight against blindness.
After six years making Retina Murcia, this year it becomes a congress given the successful result of previous editions, and thus expanding the space for debate and updating of knowledge from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Aimed at professionals in Ophthalmology, Optics and Optometry, social workers as well as professionals in the healthcare field, it is also a conference of great interest for people affected by eye diseases.
In short, it aims to strengthen the dialogue and exchange of knowledge, from the very experience of the disease and from research or clinical intervention, in order to socialize scientific knowledge from a patient's perspective.
