Open the term for the merchants of the surroundings of the underground railway works to request a subsidy (03/10/2018)

The grants, which can be ordered until the 18th, have an overall amount of 150,000 euros and can reach up to 2,000 euros per establishment, and can be used to pay the rent or mortgage loan of the premises, social security or water costs, light or internet.

Maruja Pelegrín has met with the presidents of the municipal councils of Santiago El Mayor, Infante Juan Manuel and El Carmen to explain the procedure and seek their collaboration to spread the call in their neighborhoods.

The merchants whose businesses are located in the area affected by the burial works passing through Murcia have until 18 to request a subsidy from the City Council, whose conditions explained this morning Councilor for Trade and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, a the presidents of the municipal councils of Santiago El Mayor, Infante Juan Manuel and El Carmen, where the establishments eligible for these grants are concentrated.

To do this, tomorrow begins 'a campaign on the street, trade to trade, to give maximum publicity to this call and not be a single trader out of these grants for not having information about it,' says Maruja Pelegrin.

The total amount allocated for this purpose amounts to a first allocation of 150,000 euros, although subsequently another call for the same amount will be made until reaching 300,000 euros.

The maximum grant will be 2,000 euros per beneficiary.

These grants may be accessed by companies (whether individuals, individual entrepreneurs or community of assets, or legal entities, commercial companies, labor associations or cooperatives) that are registered in the IAE as food trade, non-food trade , bars and restaurants or services and that develop their economic activity in the area affected by the works of the underground burial project, defined according to the diagnosis of the Local Socioeconomic Observatory 'La Asomada'.

The expenses derived from the exercise of their activity during 2018 and linked to the existence of a permanent establishment that constitutes the company's registered office, such as rental income or mortgage loan from the premises, fees paid to social security or expenses will be eligible. generated by supplies (water, electricity, internet ...).

Typology, seniority and social criteria

The call establishes different evaluation criteria:

- Area of ​​Potential Direct Impact: Barrio del Carmen (1 point) or San Pío and Santiago el Mayor (2 points)

- Type of establishment: bars and restaurants (1 point), services (2 points), non-food trade (3 points), food trade (4 points)

- Age of economic activity: From 2 to 5 years (1 point), from 5 to 10 years (2 points) and more than 10 years (3 points)

In addition, certain social criteria will also be taken into account.

Thus, those who have hired a worker in the last year or have the status of a person with a disability equal to or greater than 33%, a victim of gender-based violence, long-term unemployed, who has agreed to their first job and greater than 55 years.

In this case, it is required that the person has been part of the workforce for a minimum period of 6 months and the contract may be full or part-time, provided that this is not less than 50% of the working day.

Those interested must submit completed the form that is attached to the call and the additional documentation necessary to assess the application and verify that it meets the requirements.
