The University of Murcia has actively participated in the 'I Meeting of Ibero-American University Ombudsmen', an event that took place during the month of September at the University of Córdoba (Argentina).
The main objective of this meeting has been the creation of the Ibero-American Network of University Ombudsmen (RIDU).
Spanish, Peruvian, Brazilian, Mexican and Portuguese universities have participated in it.
The University of Murcia had an outstanding performance in that event, which was attended by the University Ombudsman, Juan José Vera, who actively participated in the debates and signed the RIDU constitution act;
and the previous Defender, José Manuel Palazón, as coordinator of the organizing committee of the meeting.
The main objectives of the RIDU are to promote collaboration between the defense units of university students and to support the creation of new defense offices in the Ibero-American sphere.
