Murcia now warns of the fall of rubble and glass during the works in the Artillery Barracks, without being fenced around the perimeter of the buildings (26/09/2018)

The municipal training demands that "the City must take care to avoid any danger during the development of the works, a few days ago there were dozens of teenagers camped under these buildings and the children are still playing in the area without completely fencing the perimeter of the pavilions in works "

On yesterday they had to go to Fire and Police services after a new fall of crystals and rubble, which went through the metal mesh anchored to the facade of the main pavilion

Now Murcia demands the complete fencing of the perimeter of the pavilions in works, for the safety of passers-by, visitors and of children playing in the area

NOW MURCIA calls on the Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services to order, immediately, the fencing of the complete perimeter of the pavilions in works of the Artillery Barracks.

The municipal training found yesterday that they had to move to the area several provisions of Fire and Local Police after the new fall of debris and glass, which came through the metal mesh that remains anchored to the facade of the entrance pavilion.

These falls of materials from the facades of the buildings, as reported by the neighbors, are being produced periodically with the works that the municipality performs in the pavilions.

The problem, they report, is that the entire perimeter of the buildings is not fenced, since the façade of the main pavilion that overlooks the central plaza is unfenced, with the risk that this entails.

For Now Murcia, "it is necessary to close the entire perimeter of the buildings, for safety of passers-by, visitors and children who usually play in the area," as well as "for the number of families, students and staff of the centers located in the Barracks, between libraries, study rooms and the Conservatory ".

Finally, Now Murcia, has requested the reports of the intervention of the Police and Fire services yesterday, as well as asked Rebeca Pérez for the reasons why the complete perimeter of the buildings under construction has not been closed , but only some parts.
