The inauguration of the new lighting of the Vistabella bridge will take place tonight, at 9:00 pm (25/09/2018)

It is an intelligent system that saves up to 47% of the electricity consumption and allows to alternate different colors and tones.

This infrastructure that connects Vistabella and El Infante joins the axis of light that links the Segura River, from La Fica to Manterola

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services, Rebeca Pérez, inaugurates tonight, at 9:00 p.m., the new lighting of the Jorge Manrique catwalk, in an act that will be attended by neighbors and representatives of the different groups and associations of the Vistabella neighborhood.

"This bridge, which unites two of the most popular and beloved neighborhoods of Murcia, such as Vistabella and El Infante, launches new low consumption LED lighting, which uses an intelligent and programmable system that alternates different tonalities, also providing ornamental lighting in this urban axis that links the Segura river, from the Fica to the Manterola footbridge, "said José Ballesta.

Throughout this summer, the Jorge Manrique catwalk, designed by Calatrava, has undergone an intense rehabilitation process to avoid the problems that had arisen because the glass floor caused slips and falls.

This has been replaced by a non-slip resin and all its structural elements have also been reinforced.

As a result of the replacement of the glass floor, a new lighting with 82 projectors from a Murcia manufacturer has been installed, which reduces consumption by 47%, generating an economic saving of € 2,800 / year and a reduction in emissions. CO2 of 7.7 tons per year.

The Vistabella bridge is added to the set of buildings and infrastructures with new lighting, such as the Manterola walkway, the Moneo building, the Almudí Palace and the Segura riverbed, which a few months ago premiered 155 low power and low consumption LED projectors, that lightly illuminate the walls of the river bed, without affecting the fauna or flora of the river banks.
