La Paz will have the tallest face of Spain painted on a mural (25/09/2018)

The work is being carried out on the south facade of the building located on Avenida Primero de Mayo, located in the neighborhood of La Paz, which will measure almost 400 m2.

The image that is being recreated in the mural is a face, specifically the largest in Spain, with which its author, Carlos Callizo, hopes to enter the Guinness Book of Records

The Department of Infrastructure, Public Works and Services directed by Rebeca Pérez, together with the Municipal Office of Graffiti and in collaboration with Ferrovial Servicios, makes the highest mural in the Region and in Spain, there is only one of the same dimensions in Barcelona.

It will have a height of 32 meters and a width of 12 meters.

This action is framed in the Urban DNA project of La Paz, and joins others that are being carried out in this neighborhood.

The work is being done on the south facade of the building located on Avenida Primero de Mayo, number 6, block E-6, located in the neighborhood of La Paz.

The author of this work is the Murcia painter Carlos Callizo, who for 10 days will be working on this mural that will provide the area with color and originality.

The image that is being recreated in the mural is a face, specifically the highest in Spain, with what its author hopes to enter the Guinness Book of Records.

This work is included as a commitment to the modernization of the neighborhood of La Paz.

This medianera is located in one of the most frequented avenues of our city, arriving to circulate more than 5,000 vehicles per day in front of this building.

To carry out this work we are working with two cranes, an articulated arm, which reaches up to 40 meters in height, and a lifting platform up to 18 meters high to make the lower parts.

They will also use 285 kilos of plastic paint and various materials such as rollers or brushes.

The mural will be treated with a protective varnish so that the colors last longer.

This operation will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union, within the framework of the Operational Program for sustainable growth 2014-2020, with the DUSI Murcia IT Strategy: Innovation + Tradition.
