The measurement of the social impact will be the focus of the IX Meeting of the Santander Chair Network of Corporate Social Responsibility (24/09/2018)

The International Chair of Social Responsibility UCAM-APC is responsible for coordinating the event that will take place on September 25 and 26 in Murcia

The IX Meeting of the Network of Santander Chairs of Corporate Social Responsibility that will take place at the Catholic University of San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) and at the Headquarters of the Port Authority of Cartagena on the 25th and 26th of September will focus on measuring of social impact.

The IX Meeting of the Network of Santander Chairs of Corporate Social Responsibility takes place in a context of consolidation as the main university network for training and research in Social Responsibility and Sustainability.

The network consists of 8 chairs of CSR representing 10 Spanish universities and 3 Portuguese and DIRSE, Spanish Association of Social Responsibility Directors.

In addition, it has the collaboration and active participation of representatives of the Universia Foundation, the conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) and of the Santander Bank itself.

During these two days, one more year, the Chairs and the entities that make up the Network will share and analyze the most outstanding initiatives and projects they are developing.

In this edition, the theme chosen to be discussed at the meeting is the measurement of social impact, a key activity to be able to evaluate and know the footprint left by companies and organizations in their environment.

On Tuesday afternoon they will be received by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, at the Monastery of Los Jerónimos.

After this meeting a discussion will begin in which Bernardo García, vice president of the Spanish Association of Measurement and Social Impact Management ESIMPACT, will talk about measuring social impact.

Then all attendees will move to the town hall of Murcia, where they will be received by the mayor José Ballesta Germán.

We will continue with a dialogue on CSR in the 21st century, which will include Mario Garcés Sanagustín, program secretary of the Popular Party;

David Lafuente Durán, advisory member of the cabinet of the Secretary of State for Social Services of the Government of Spain;

Ruth Hernández González and Rodolfo Puente Fernández, directors of the Logic Ecommerce consultancy and Víctor Meseguer Sánchez, director of the Chair of RSC UCAM-APC.

This first day of the meeting will culminate in a tribute to Aguas de Murcia for its work in the development of good practices in public-private partnerships and for its contribution to the implementation of the SDGs.

In line with this work, recently, the United Nations Global Compact Network has recognized Aguas de Murcia as an example of good practices in support of the Sustainable Development Goals of its Social Fund.

The second day of the IX Meeting of the Network of Santander Chairs of Corporate Social Responsibility will be opened by Joaquín Segado Martínez, president of the Port Authority of Cartagena;

José Luis Mendoza García, Director of Institutional Relations of the UCAM;

Nuria Fuentes García Lax, general director of Labor Relations and Economy of the CARM;

Luis Monge Lozano, director of Sustainability Santander Spain and Víctor Meseguer Sánchez, director of the International Chair of CSR of the UCAM.

Next will be the presentation of the Observatory of Social Innovation (OISOC), an initiative created by Logic Ecommerce and the International Chair of CSR of the UCAM.

The OISOC team has the presence of businessman Tomás Martínez Pagán, ambassador of the project, and with the two founders and promoters of OISOC: Eva Franco Bastida, Director of Communication and CSR of Hidrogea and Andrés Dulanto Scott, director of Digital Content of the EFE Agency on behalf of EFE EMPRESAS and RSC.

The act will continue with a recognition by the International Chair of CSR of the UCAM to its allies: Official College of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia, EFE Companies and CSR, Emuasa, Hefame Foundation, Southeast Group, Hidrogea, Logic Ecommerce, Mutual Universal, Orthem Environmental Services and Primafrío.

Next, the Editorial Committee of the Network of Santander Chairs of Social Responsibility will meet and the day will end with a boat trip, lunch and a guided tour of Cartagena.
