The Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs today celebrated the official presentation of the Initial Professional Qualification program to participating students.
In total there are 165 young people between 16 and 29 years old, who left their studies without having obtained any degree and now have enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System and will study the different specialties that are offered.
What is intended with this program is to improve their opportunities for employment, training them to achieve a Level 1 and / or 2 Professional Certification, while providing them with basic training in key competences (linguistics, mathematics), together with transversal competences (social skills, team work, responsibility, self-esteem, decision making, use of information and communication technologies ...)
The program, which will run until June 2019, offers different specialties that will be progressively implemented:
Auxiliary activities of Commerce and Warehouse (Levels 1 and 2)
Auxiliary activities of nurseries and gardens (Level 1)
Plumbing and Heating-Domestic Air Conditioning Operations (Level 1)
Auxiliary Aesthetic Services (Level 1 and 2)
Auxiliary Services of Hairdressing (Level 1 and 2)
Auxiliary Operations of Mechanical Manufacturing (Level 1)
Auxiliary Operations for Vehicle Body Maintenance (Level 1)
Recording and data processing operations (Computing) (Level 1)
The pre-registration period is currently open in the areas of Recording and Data Processing, Mechanical Manufacturing, Trade (Level 2), Hairdressing and Aesthetics (Level 1) and Bodywork.

In the previous edition of the program, 150 young people were trained and they received 8 Level 1 and 2 professional certificates.
Of these, 100 students (83.3%) completed the training, of which 66% (79 young people) obtained the certificate of professionalism.
82 carried out training practices in different companies of the municipality (68.3%) for which it was necessary to sign 61 agreements with 59 companies of the municipality.
