The Municipal Socialist Group does not understand that the contingency fund, reserved to face unforeseen events of the magnitude of a natural catastrophe such as a flood, is used by the PP year after year to pay expenses that are planned, even before approving the Budgets .

"The government team has become accustomed to using this emergency reserve to cover their holes, which are motivated precisely by their mismanagement," said the PSOE spokesperson at the City of Murcia, Susana Hernández.

"This shows the incompetence, inefficiency and improvisation of the PP when managing our municipal accounts", according to the socialist mayor Sebastián Peñaranda, who has participated this morning in the Committee on the Plenary of Infrastructure, Finance and General Affairs, together with the councilors Begoña García Retegui, Enrique Ayuso and Juan Vicente Larrosa.

Hernandez added that "the good news is that these employees are going to charge and, finally, the worst is that, apart from late, is charged to the municipal coffers because of the bad head of the PP."

Another "patch of the government team" that has been evidenced today in the Finance Committee is that the Housing services need to face the rent subsidies 450,000 euros more than what is reported in the Budgets, approved a month ago.

"We do not understand how the PP and Citizens who have boasted of these accounts, have to use the contingency fund to assume an expense that should be planned," said Peñaranda.

Also, in the Finance Committee the fate of the 532,920 euros of positive treasury remainder that the Law obligates to destine to the payment of the debt, what "makes us good clients of the banks but very bad managers of the public, according to Hernandez, who points out that this money comes from not having invested everything that was promised during the year.
