The City Council will once again award ten young entrepreneurs to the Cultural Factory for the launch of their creative ideas (21/09/2018)

The Governing Board has approved the second call for ten scholarships 'Culture and Creativity' to support entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industries in Murcia Region Cultural Factory, the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs.

The selected entrepreneurs will receive a scholarship with a duration of six months, for a total amount of 2,541 euros.

Any entrepreneur of legal age who wishes to implement his idea or develop his project within the scope of Cultural and Creative Industries may participate in this call.

In addition, the residency grants come with other resources that will be made available to entrepreneurs as a creative ecosystem that encourages networking and the creation of a business network in the field of cultural, creative and innovation entrepreneurship.

In addition, they will be allowed to participate in the Innovation Plan, a training itinerary designed by Factoría Cultural that aims to convert the projects of resident entrepreneurs into sustainable enterprises.

Likewise, active experts with teaching experience and Cultural Factory, through face-to-face and on-line sessions and tutorials, consultancies and workshops, will accompany the projects in all phases of their development and implementation, from conception and incubation to their acceleration and market launch.

Likewise, they will have a workspace in the Cultural Factory, with headquarters in the Párraga Center, with hours from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and which also has a multipurpose room, two audiovisual production rooms (with a study of recording, soundproof room and television set), internet connection and personalized attention.

They will also be able to participate in an expert forum consisting of a cycle of participative talks with renowned professionals from the world of culture and creativity, as well as success stories along with emerging and inspiring projects to be held with the support of the Bank Foundation. Finally, scholarship holders will have a 50% discount in Factory School, a training program that was created with the aim of contributing to the development of emerging initiatives in the cultural and creative industries and to support professionals in this sector.

It includes courses and practical workshops, focused on students and applicable to any field.

The projects submitted to this scholarship call can be found in any state of maturity and should be included in the three major areas in which the Cultural and Creative Industries (Technologies, Communications and Arts) are divided, among which are included the following: Architecture, Visual arts, Performing arts, Crafts and antiques, Cinema, Design (graphic, industrial, publishing and interior), Digital distribution, Publishing, Digital publishing, Photography and video, Participative content generation and social media, Research and Development, Games, Games by computer, Fashion, Mobility and localization, Music, Open data, Cultural and natural heritage, Press, Content production, Advertising, Radio, Television and new media, Tourism and gastronomy, Software, Video and Videogames .

Any entrepreneur of any nationality who wants to implement his idea of ​​business in the municipality can participate in this call.

The deadline for submission of applications will begin on October 15 and will run until November 15, the selection of projects will be made between November 16 and 23, while the results will be announced as of November 23.
