A municipal subsidy will contribute to the maintenance of the seven Bells of Auroros of the municipality (21/09/2018)

The Governing Board has given its approval to the granting of a subsidy to the seven Auroros Bells of the municipality for an overall amount of 42,000 euros.

The purpose of this agreement is to preserve and spread the cultural and musical legacy of these brotherhoods that were born around the 17th century and whose folklorico-religious tradition is a unique heritage of the municipality of Murcia.

These seven Murcia associations are the Bell of Auroros of Our Lady of the Rosary of Rincón de Seca, Folkloric Group Virgen del Carmen of Rincon de Seca, Bell Association of Auroros Virgin of the Rosary of New Javalí, Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Rosary of Santa Cruz, Association Hermandad de la Aurora de Javalí Viejo, Association Cuadrilla de Animas Our Lady of the Fuensanta de Patiño and Bell Association of Auroros Our Lady of the Rosary of El Palmar.

With this agreement, the City Council promotes traditional and cultural events and the promotion of tourism in the city of Murcia, providing 6,000 euros for each of the seven Auroros Bells that undertake to carry out actions inside and outside the municipality and to maintain the activity of the Aurora School and Music.
