Authors, editors, distributors, booksellers and self-publishing managers will be present throughout the weekend at Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio.
In addition to the exhibition and sale of copies in about thirty stands, there will be signatures and presentations, children's workshops, storytelling, musical performances, lectures and round tables on literature.
The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, and the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Miriam Guardiola, inaugurated this morning the Murcia Book Fair, which the City Council, the Community and the Palin Association have recovered after a decade.
The Fair, which is held throughout this weekend in Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio, has about thirty exhibitors.
In addition to the exhibition and sale of books, different authors will visit the booths to sign copies of their publications and a wide range of activities will be developed, such as book presentations, children's workshops, storytelling, musical performances, lectures and round tables on literature.
"We recovered the Book Fair in one of the most emblematic environments of the city, such as Alfonso X El Sabio, a celebration of letters that provides a space for the great authors and editors of Murcia," said José Ballesta, who added that "Murcia literature lives a moment of full effervescence and national and international recognition, thanks to the talent of the current generation of writers who have developed culturally and professionally in our land."
An inclusive Fair: ONCE Braille workshop
Authors, editors, distributors, booksellers and self-publishing managers will be present at this 2018 Book Fair, which will also be an inclusive fair, since the ONCE will be present with its Braille workshop for children and adults that will be held tomorrow, Saturday, from 10.30 am, in the assembly hall of the Archaeological Museum.
