The University of Murcia rewards the creativity and ingenuity of students who will enjoy international stays (20/09/2018)

The University of Murcia has held this Thursday, September 20, the award ceremony of the Short Story Contest CC Thader-University of Murcia and the contest Santander Ingenio 'Your ingenuity has a prize'.

The awards ceremony for the young winners of both competitions took place in the Convalecencia Rectors Gallery and was chaired by the rector, José Luján.

These competitions are intended to help economically those students who have been granted stays abroad in the programs managed by the International Relations Area of ​​the University of Murcia during the 2018-2019 academic year.

The act has also had a marked emotional character with the memory of Professor Bernardo Cascales, who died last April.

The contest 'Your ingenuity has a prize' has been celebrated in this edition in memory of Cascales, since it was he as Vice Chancellor of Internationalization who promoted the celebration of the contest.

His widow, Cecilia Sandoval, has been present at the awards ceremony.

The rector of the University of Murcia has announced that in its next edition the contest will be named Bernardo Cascales.

Ángela Tenedor Yepes (2,000 euros)

Álvaro Peláez Gaona (1,500 euros)

Carmen María Sánchez (1,000 euros)

The winners of the Santander Ingenio prize 'Your ingenuity has a prize' are:

Pablo García Verdú (3,000 euros)

Antonio Guillén Teruel (2,500 euros)

Alba Muñoz Miñano (2,000 euros)

Elisa Serrano Richaud (1,500 euros)

Paula Díaz Marcos (1,000 euros)
