The PSOE proposes to create a wallet card for users of municipal sports facilities (17/09/2018)

Councilman Juan Vicente Larrosa will take a motion to the Plenary on the 27th requesting the government team to launch this tool that would "facilitate payment" to those who come weekly to sports courts and pavilions that are owned by the City Council

Many are the people who regularly use sports facilities in the municipality, both individually and in groups, and whenever they go to one of them to rent a track they are forced to pay cash when in these times the most comfortable is usually use a card, which does not have to be credit.

Therefore, the PSOE considers the creation and implementation of a specific wallet card that is rechargeable and would not generate any commission.

"The rechargeable prepaid card system, also called electronic wallet or purse, will allow small payments without having to carry money," explains Councilor Larrosa, who stresses that this measure "would be very practical" for uses such as pavilions and sports fields.

The monetary balance is recorded inside the card itself eliminating the need to communicate with external centers and in each transaction the amount of the same is deducted from the card itself.

"It is a simple and safe system, more reliable than money in cash and that decreases the need for cash in companies and centers," says the socialist mayor, "as happens, for example, with bonus cards transportation (bus ticket) ".

Nowadays, the regulation regulating public prices for the rendering of services or rental of municipal sports facilities establishes the cash payment in their concierges and the concierge provides the user with a payment receipt filled out by hand.

"In a municipality that wants to adapt to Smart Cities, it is a real backwardness since we had to have a payment system adapted to the future," adds Larrosa.
