The City Council optimizes the water supply in El Palmar, the neighborhood of Carmen and Sangonera la Seca y la Verde (12/09/2018)

The renovation of the deposit of La Paloma (in El Palmar) has involved an investment of 482,000 euros.

On the other hand, Aguas de Murcia is executing in San Ginés the integral renovation of the sanitation artery of the hamlet.

José Ballesta visits these two works that correspond to the Plan of Summer Actions of Aguas de Murcia, with a total investment of 3.1 million euros.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the councilman of Pedanías, Participation and Decentralization, Marco Antonio Fernández, has visited today two of the works of the Plan of Summer Actions of Aguas de Murcia 2018, in the districts of El Palmar and San Ginés .

This Plan includes a total of 19 works in 16 districts and two neighborhoods of Murcia, with an investment of 3,148,000 euros.

"The objective is to improve the quality of service in neighborhoods and districts, modernizing the network and establishing new stretches, interconnections and improvements both for water supply and for the sanitation system," said José Ballesta.

Specifically, it concerns the renovation work on the exit route from the La Paloma deposit (El Palmar), which will improve the supply and service in El Palmar, the Carmen neighborhood, Sangonera la Seca and Sangonera la Verde.

The action has already been completed and has involved the installation of hydraulic valves, control systems and the replacement of the old fiber cement pipe.

The total investment has been 482,000 euros.

For its part, in San Ginés the works have consisted in the renovation of the sanitation network of the San Ginés Avenue, which will improve the arterial network of the hamlet, through the restructuring of the existing junction with the Way of the Hermitage and the renovation of the collector until its arrival at the fire station.

The work, with an investment of € 137,994, is being finalized and the asphalt is still to be completed, which will be completed this September.

Specifically, the districts benefited by the Summer Action Plan are Corvera, Patiño, Tocinos Bridge, El Raal, Valladolises, San Ginés, El Palmar, Sangonera la Seca, Lobosillo (two performances), Javalí Viejo, La Ñora, Espinardo, Torreagüera, El Puntal, Santa Cruz and San Benito (Barrio del Progreso), in addition to the Murcia neighborhoods of Santa Eulalia and San Andrés.
