The councilor for Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Kitchen Garden, Antonio Navarro, has announced the opening and making available to bicycle users of the new closed parking facilities installed under the Mobisec project, located in gardens and pedestrian areas close to intermodal areas of transport of passengers (universities, tram stops, health centers, bus stations, etc.).

Each one is made up of a set of U-shaped forks, to which the bicycles can be attached, which are located inside a metal enclosure that is accessed through a door with an electronic access control system .

This system has been conceived as a complement to the public system of rental bicycles, in a way that allows even those who do not have a place to leave their bicycles at home, or live outside the city and want to use it for their daily commuting through the center. , can do it in the same conditions as who does not have this possibility.

Each closed bike park allows you to park up to 20 bicycles.

- Campus of the University of Murcia.

Private bicycles must be registered in the national biciregistro (www.biciregistro.es) to have access to this parking, whose use is free.

The user has to pay exclusively the cost of 13 euros plus VAT of the magnetic key.

To access the closed bike park, you must contact the Bicycle Office (tfn: 968 200 293), sign a document accepting the conditions of use, and you will be given one of the authorized magnetic keys, which are personal and non-transferable.
