Twelve peñas huertanas will participate on Monday in the Round of farewell to the Virgen de la Fuensanta (08/09/2018)

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Trade and Institutional Relations, Maruja Pelegrín, presented this morning the Round of farewell to the Virgin of Fuensanta in the Plenary Hall of the City of Murcia, changing the planned location, in the Plaza de la Cruz, due to the rain.

In this act of presentation has played the Cuadiño de Patiño and the Peña Huertana El Mortero.

Next Monday, September 10, at 22:00 hours will take place the Round to the Virgin of Fuensanta in the Cathedral of Murcia by Tuna Spain, which will participate 12 Peñas Huertanas.

At 9:30 pm there will be a previous parade from the Romea Theater to the Cathedral, passing through Plaza Santa Domingo, Trapería, ending in Plaza de la Cruz, filling these streets with music, dancing and lots of color.

"We celebrate one more year with a tradition that already has more than 100 years of history and that has been maintained over time thanks to the work of the Brotherhood of the Blessed Animas de Patiño." Peñas Huertanas will go through the Altar Mayor de the Cathedral to sing to the Virgin of Fuensanta, who returns to his Shrine next Tuesday "has highlighted José Ballesta.

During the last years, the Federation of Peñas Huertanas, together with the Cathedral Chapter, the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Fuensanta and the Brotherhood of the Blessed Souls of Patiño, have introduced some changes to give more splendor to this Round of Farewell, with a huertano parade and the participation of the rocks huertanas.
