The Faculty of Veterinary begins the activities of reception and information to the new students of the University of Murcia (06/09/2018)

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has been the first center of the University of Murcia to welcome new students who will begin their studies in a few days.

This Wednesday began the Week of Welcome and Preparation during which the students enrolled in the degree will learn practical questions about the operation of the Faculty, the services and all the options that they will have at their disposal during their formation.

These voluntary sessions will continue until September 13.

After the first day of this Welcome Week the students have already met the dean, Gaspar Ros, who welcomed them and explained the structure of the Faculty and its internal functioning.

In addition, the participants have also received talks on the veterinary profession and their professional careers, have an idea of ​​what they will learn during their training and already know practical issues such as the operation of the virtual classroom.

The first day also included a guided tour of the facilities of the Faculty.

In this week the students will know the Hospital, the Farm and they will have information about the associations to which they can belong and the international mobility plans, among many other things.

Over the next few days more centers will carry out similar activities to welcome and prepare new students for their degrees.

The Faculty of Informatics celebrates this Friday, September 7, the University Information Day, which will take place in the auditorium of the Faculty.

Throughout the morning you can learn first-hand about important aspects of the development of the course, as well as advice and good practices that will facilitate their entry into the university world.

For its part, the faculty of Biology will begin to hold its Reception Days on September 12.

It will do so in three blocks: differentiated for its Biotechnology titles (12-13 September), Biology (September 13-14) and Environmental Sciences.

(September 17-18).

During these days the new students will know the tools that will help them to work better during their years of stay in the center and will receive guidance on how they can direct their professional career in the future.

As part of this process of accompanying the new students of the University of Murcia, the vice-rectorate of Students has organized a complete program of information sessions that will begin next September 10 at the Faculty of Medicine and will continue until the 4th of May. October.
