The device set up by the City of Murcia to clean urban municipal sites from weeds and waste and install a security fence has reached 25 parishes in the first half of 2018. The objective pursued by the Heritage service, ascribed to the Department directed by Rafael Gómez, is to put an end to the image of deterioration and filth that some places can offer and, at the same time, guarantee the safety and health conditions in these plots and in their environment.
In these six months we have acted on an area of ​​85,000 m2, corresponding to 25 performances, among other districts, in Santiago El Mayor, Bacons Bridge, Sangonera la Verde, Sangonera la Seca, Santiago and Zaraíche, El Esparragal, El Puntal, Churra, El Palmar, Los Dolores, Guadalupe, Aljucer or Barriomar.
The cost has exceeded 84,000 euros.
It is, therefore, to carry out the necessary improvement and rehabilitation works and for this, the City contracted this service with a company -Insetec Servicios Integrales SL-, in charge of the fencing of plots, of different types, whether its replacement is necessary or arrangement of fences in poor condition.
The contract provides for the cleaning of lots, with the removal of vegetation, weeds, rubbish, debris and other elements that may exist, and their transfer to an authorized landfill, including treatment with a specific herbicide against weeds.
In addition, they deal with the custody of materials that may exist on municipal property, with necessary transportation, to the warehouse.
The work also includes the clearing of debris and accumulated material, including, if any, clearing and elimination of shrubs.
To leave the site in perfect condition, the intervention carried out includes the removal of possible billboards, posters, signs, etc.
