The Mayor, José Ballesta, attended this morning at the beginning of these works in the Reina Sofía Hospital Bridge where, due to the complexity of accessing its arches, it was necessary to resort to a qualified mountaineer, since the cleanliness in height is an office reserved exclusively for specialized companies, which have in their team professionals who know the operation and have all the tools and safety measures necessary to clean effectively in these special circumstances.
In this case, in addition, it will be necessary to cut one of the traffic lanes at some specific moment.
In addition, on the Jorge Manrique footbridge it will be necessary to use a truck with a crane, equipped with high-altitude workers and equipped with high-pressure equipment.
In both cases, most of the intervention will take place at night, so that the specialists can act safely, it is necessary for the structure to cool down after so many hours of sunlight.
These limitations will not be necessary to work on the remaining bridges, where cleaning of handrails and braces with pressurized water, removal of padlocks and removal of graffiti will take place during the day:
