Last year, about half a hundred cyclists participated in the Cresta del Gallo Climbing, a figure that the organizers hope to overcome in the XXXIII edition of the race to be held next Sunday, September 2.

The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, presented today the event, accompanied by Sergio Martinez, president of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia, and Juan José Garre, president of the Municipal Board of Algezares, from whose seat the different tests will be released, organized by categories.

The race, which is part of the Murcia Fair program, this year includes as a novelty the participation of electric bicycles in the cyclist category

The trials of this bicycle race will start at 9:00 am with the exit at Rosaleda street, together with the mayor's office, and consists of different categories: cyclist, cadet (departure at 9:50), junior (10 , 40 h) and females (11,30 h) and master (12,20 h).

Next, the master category will be given (30-40-50-60) and, finally, the elite / sub23 category, which will start at 12,20 and 13,10 hours, respectively.

The inscriptions will be made through the platform of the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia (www.murciaciclismo.com) until 23.59 hours on Thursday, September 30, although the federated runners can carry it out for at least one hour Before the test.
