The PSOE considers it "absolutely necessary" to overturn the street cleaning in districts and to do it "real" (15/08/2018)

The deputy secretary of Political Action and Institutional Relations of the Socialist Municipal Executive, Esther Nevado, affirms that "this service is deficient in the municipality despite its high cost" and proof of this is that the dirt accumulated in the streets and the poor state of the gardens increases as one moves away from the city

Councilman Juan Vicente Larrosa recalls that "in the city there are places, like the Glorieta, which are cleaned daily and in the districts there are places that have not seen a sweeper for years and have never seen cleaning machines"

Esther Nevado makes an X-ray of a reality that is daily.

"It is good to educate citizens about the need to collaborate so that their people are clean, but that does not excuse the City Council's lack of care in terms of lack of cleanliness," says the Deputy Secretary of Political Action and Institutional Relations of the Murcian Socialists.

While in the city the streets are cleaned daily, in the districts these tasks are divided by zones, so that some are only cleaned two or three times a week.

These actions do not reach the lanes, the containers are filthy, the gardens with the lawn full of bald spots, because they are not replanted, and without a flower.

All that unlike what happens in the city, where even the medians of the streets are full of flowers.

To this we must add that many lots are full of weeds and when it is eliminated it is charged to the scarce resources of the Municipal Boards.

Nor were the margins of the bypass roads (Miguel Indurain, Juan de Borbón, Costeras Norte and Sur ...), where garbage and even dead animals accumulate.

Nevado cites the ADN Connecta project as "a gross electoral strategy paid for with public money".

"After three years of not doing anything in districts, or listening to the demands of the Municipal Boards to increase the cleanliness, they place recycling containers only of organic matter (multiple populated areas have to move 500 meters to access container containers, paper or glass), they clean some municipal plots of land and set up a few gardens or end up with illegal and dangerous dumps. The PP has been in a hurry 10 months before the elections ", explains Nevado, member of the Executive Board led by José Antonio Serrano, and goes beyond

"To top it all off, the team of José Ballesta tries to criminalize the citizens of the deficiencies of the City Council through campaigns and the money is spent cleaning one or two neighborhoods that coincidentally coincide with those where the PP collects the most votes", exposes by allude to "a cleaning service that is deficient and that the City Council becomes discriminatory."

This calls more attention taking into account that the company Cespa is the largest contract of the City, with more than 1,000 million euros in 20 years, which requires to review the degree of compliance with it.

For his part, the councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group in the City Hall Juan Larrosa has stressed that "we need a true education campaign and encouragement of cleanliness in our town, but a campaign that enhances and develops knowledge and civility among all the estates "and recalled that" in the city there are places, such as the Roundabout, which are cleaned daily and yet, in the districts there are places that have not seen a street sweeper for years and in those areas machines have never been seen cleaning ", something that blames the reduction of staff to undertake these tasks.
