14 unemployed people renew in an integral way the garden of the Llano de Brujas Municipal Center plaza (10/08/2018)

The Councilor for Modernization of Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, visited this morning the work of renovation of the garden of the square next to the Municipal Center of Llano de Brujas that are being executed by 14 unemployed people from the Employment and Training Service.

The works seek the conditioning, adaptation and renovation of children's spaces, pavements and tree-pits of this central square.

In this way, the labor insertion of unemployed people or with difficulties of access to training and a job is promoted while improving and creating new green areas.

The works that are being carried out thanks to this project consist, among others, in the withdrawal of the existing games and remodeling of those that can be reused, the installation of new games, the placement of curb and paving, the execution of massifs with plantations, the painting of walls and scenes and the spread of alberos.

Councilman José Guillén explained that "the design of the new space is aimed at improving accessibility, safety and generate uses for all ages, as well as a reduction in maintenance costs and improvement in decoration."

For his part, Jesus Pacheco has indicated that "with these municipal projects, the municipality pursues the generation of employment and labor integration while improving the quality of life of the neighbors, from the impulse of our gardens and public spaces" .

The 14 unemployed who are developing the project are a technical architect, a masonry foreman, nine masonry officers and three gardening officers.

The duration of the work is estimated at 9 months and its completion is scheduled for next December.

The City of Murcia has financed the sum of materials, auxiliary means, machinery and study of Safety and Health, while the SEF has subsidized the workforce.
