The quality of life and the right to a dignified death will be protagonists of an Unimar workshop (03/08/2018)

The International University of the Sea (Unimar) organizes the workshop 'Biomedicine and quality of life', which will take place from 4 to 7 September in the municipal center of Social Services, Women and Equality of San Pedro del Pinatar.

This course, led by Alfonsa García and José Meseguer, has as its starting point the growing concern that exists about the need to achieve a good quality of life through activities related to daily health and the cult of the body.

In addition, issues such as the right to a dignified death make people consider the need to develop healthy life habits that lead to a long life and quality until the time of death.

As their organizers explain, "we want and we need to know that the end of our life will be provided with favorable conditions, being devoid of physical or psychic pain."

During the training days, topics such as the adequate development of nutritional habits, physical activity or aesthetic surgery will be addressed, with the aim of creating a forum for analysis, debate and discussion.

The activity is aimed at students of Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine and Psychology, as well as anyone interested in the course.

Registrations will remain open until September 1.
