Now Murcia fears that "the long delay in the works of the town hall in schools of the municipality cause to start the course with unfinished performances" (01/08/2018)

- Angeles Micol affirms that "the works should have started in all schools just a few days after the end of this 2017/18 school year, starting weeks later and even a month and a half later, it has no justification, and is only the result of the bad planning "

NOW MURCIA fears that "the long delay in the works of the City Hall in schools of the municipality will cause the school year to start with some of these unfinished performances."

A distrust that they share, according to what Now Murcia has known, professionals of some of these educational centers, and that is motivated by the fact that this summer the maintenance and improvement works have been adjudged later than in previous years, coming to be adjudged a part of them last Friday, July 27.

"The schools open their doors on September 1 and the course begins on the 7th," says Councilwoman Angeles Micol.

"We are afraid that by then some of these works will continue to be carried out, which will cause either considerable inconvenience to the normal development of the classes and other activities, or that the works will be postponed or suspended, so that they do not interfere. of these two possibilities is admissible. "

Micol affirms that "the works should have started in all schools just a few days after the end of this 2017/18 school year, starting weeks later and even a month and a half later, it has no justification, and is only the result of bad planning".

For the mayor "the City Council has all year to plan with tranquility the works it intends to undertake in the summer in the schools, and to carry out the adjudication and scheduling of the works with the required prior notice, not doing so puts at risk the execution of the works and the normal functioning of the schools, which is an inadmissible irresponsibility ".

Now Murcia has written to the Councilor for Education, Rafa Gómez, asking him the cause of the delay in these works.

"Everyone is aware that there are few direct powers of the City Council in Education, if the few that do not develop correctly, turn off and let's go," concludes Micol.
