The candidate to be the next mayor of Murcia has attended a meeting with leaders of the UCAM Football Club, along with the councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group Juan Vicente Larrosa and other members of the Municipal Executive of the PSOE as the secretary of Institutional Coordination and Communication, Francisco Viudes, and the secretary of Electoral Action, José Manuel Abellán.

The PSOE delegation has been received at the La Condomina stadium by those who manage this sports institution, the brothers José Luis and Samuel Mendoza, as well as other members of the board and the technical structure such as coach Pedro Munitis, who have shared a while with the socialist representatives, to whom they have transferred an image of a young club - it is barely six years old -, and healthy that usually gathers around 2,000 fans in their Segunda B matches, although they reached 4,000 in the season that the team He was in Second.

For Serrano, sport in general and football in particular is an important aspect in the daily life of Murcia and Murcia and must be promoted as a healthy physical activity or entertainment.

"From the PSOE I celebrate that there are clubs that project good image for the city as is the case of UCAM CF, which I continue as an amateur, and whose operation I have been able to know today from within," he said.

The rectors of the UCAM CF have recalled that in the summer of 2016 they invested 1.2 million euros to fully prepare the municipal stadium where the blue-blue set disputes their meetings, as well as the actual situation of the agreement with the City Council.

They have also reported that the sports entity includes more than 250 young people in its bases and has a dozen affiliated clubs in the Region and another 21 that are interested in taking the same step.

For his part, Serrano pointed out that "it is seen that it is a very well structured project and with the firm intention of continuing to grow sportingly and socially".
