The Plenary Session of the City of Murcia has finally given the green light to the Urban Planning and Environment dossier that will enable a new road to improve accessibility to an area of ​​expansion of El Palmar, which has about 300 homes.
It is, therefore, an action expected and demanded by the residents of the district, as explained by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Garden, Antonio Navarro.
The urban management report involves the approval of the project to obtain land by the direct occupation system, since it has not been necessary to resort to expropriation after the owners of the two affected plots indicated their agreement.
The road will connect a recently built urbanization with the roundabout of the main street of El Palmar, next to Bodegas Bernal.
It establishes a connection of the rest of the western neighborhoods of the expansion area of ​​El Palmar with the center, organizing and substantially improving the road structure.
Although it affects a small area, the action has a great importance in the management of the center of the district, among other aspects, because it allows direct access to the main street and connection to the large development districts of the west.
The operation affects 539 square meters of surface, which were acquired through the system of direct occupation, giving the possibility to owners to participate in the urban management procedure.
