The number of young people requesting the Academic-Labor Orientation Service has doubled (19/07/2018)

8 out of 10 young people who request information end up being beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System.

The City of Murcia, through the Youth Service, has an academic-labor guidance service, which offers information, guidance, activation and support to the young population.

The objective is to achieve a sustainable integration of our young people in the labor market.

Up to June 30, 2018, 42 care days have been held, which represent twice the number of sessions held in the second half of 2017.

Of the 124 young people, between 16 and 30 years old who have passed through the facilities of the Informajoven center, 47 were already beneficiaries of the Youth Guarantee and 51 have joined the system during the semester.

As of June 2018, 8 out of 10 young people served in the service are beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System, a European initiative that seeks to guarantee equal opportunities for young people in the labor market, facilitating their access to an offer of employment, continuous training, apprenticeship training or internship period.

In addition, 14% of young people who have requested information have also developed academic guidance actions, an intermediation service that activates the job seeker with 33% of users and actions to improve employability with 12% of the citizens.

Regarding the profile of the users served in the Academic Career Service, 6 out of 10 users have the highest level of ESO, while 4 out of 10 have professional or university training;

the levels between male and female care are practically equal and come from all neighborhoods and districts of the municipality, being more significant the demand from La Fama, Zarandona, Casillas, Zaraiche, San Antón, La Albatalía and La Arboleja.

"The main objective is to offer a specialized service in the individualized accompaniment, in the active search of employment and the labor insertion Our job is to guarantee that our young people have the future they want to have, we are to listen to them and help them, they are our priority" commented Rebeca Pérez.

On the other hand, young people who access this service have the option of benefiting from the measures to encourage the employment of people from this priority group in the new Strategy for Quality Employment, for example through their participation in programs that they allow them to receive remuneration while they are forming and developing social interest projects in their municipalities.

This personalized service is offered on the premises of the Informajoven center on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on the telephone is 968 21 55 82.
