"The Region of Murcia has its best days ahead," said López Miras, who remarked that "we must be able to make them come true".

During the reading of his proclamation, the president of the Community acknowledged feeling "like another inhabitant of Sangonera la Verde and a man proud of the broad history, of the magnificent present and of the great future of this land".
